Graven Images Cut and Fold House

Insanely cool! I found this HUGE stamp on Ebay measuring 6 across by 4 1/2 high.  It is from a company called Graven Images from Chattanooga Tennessee. I have never heard of this company and of course, it is no longer in business.  Just my stupid luck. I want to know if there is a whole town or other items that work with this stamp.  It would be perfect for a House Warming party or whatever fits inside the one and a half inch square base. I have searched Ebay for more but the stamping community is always up on odd stamps and companies.

So stampers of the INKY-verse! Pick thy brains and peruse thee stashes of forgotten stamps. I would love more of this type, even if it's not the same company.  I didn't pay much for this one, as I would guess not a whole lot of stampin' mammies are as weird as me for wanting to collect houses. 

Spring Window

I wish this were my kitchen window right now. If it were, it would be about 70 F and sunny. As I type this, it's about 5F, windy and dark. I don't want to go into how cold it's actually supposed to get later tonight.

This beautiful stamp, which would be perfect for use with Flower Soft, is possibly by Embossing Arts. I don't know if it's the OLD EA or the newer company that seems to be on it's third owner in the last 10 years. I can tell you it's fairly large, probably 5" by 4" or so.  I would love to add this to my "window" collection to go with my  "door" collection which goes with my "house" collection. Slowly I am building the abode of my dreams!

Russian Christmas House

I recently purchased this stamp on EBay and it is beyond gorgeous! Brand new and mint, professionally mounted, there is nothing to identify the company who manufactured it. I am hoping someone will recognize it or the style of the drawing, so I can find out more about it.

It is about 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 in size. The wood mount is curved in for the finger grips that we like on large stamps. The wood appears to be sealed after the image was added to the fresh wood. Like I said, this was not a home mount. It was done in a factory. If you recognize it, please leave a comment with your info. I can't wait to make some cards with it.

Milltown Obsessions House

Obsession is right. I have been on a binge looking for house stamps. Maybe it's because I want to move so bad. I hate it here in Michigan and have for a long time. It's too cold and I don't drive much. The closest stamp store is an hour away! What is up with that?? Altho, if I put all my stamps together, we could have a stamp store in theory. I just would not sell any to ya. But I might let ya stamp in my garage (you can sit on the boxes of flooring until I get it laid).

I never heard of this company before so if you have any info, let me know-the stamp is dated 1994. It is definitely out of business per Little Bit. I want more, please and thank you. Isn't this house incredible? I could live on the porch for a start. I miss my gramma's porch from back in the 60's but I do have one that spans the front of my house. It just ain't cool like this. And I don't really want to look at the neighbor's pot belly or hairy butt crack, either. So I stay in the back. And watch the dog tear up what is left of the lawn.

ETA-I found this stamp and paid under 12 bucks for it! It's huge!!! I want to live in it!! No mortgage either.

House (Unknown)

Does anyone know who makes this stamp? There is nothing on the wood to give me a clue. I want to know if there are others in the series so I can make a city. If you think you know who manufactured it, or if there are others similar, let me know. The wood is a little banged up but I got it for 2.95! It doesn't look as if it was ever stamped, either.

At least there is no mortgage or need to get one on it. I like that!

Old Church And Cemetery

I love old cemeteries. They have stories to tell. Some are better than others and some are boring. You won't find my story in a cemetery, tho. I plan on being cremated and spread over left field at Tiger Stadium. Or shot into space with the grenade launcher my daughter has threatened to purchase just for the occasion. I will either be a home run or go out with a bang-my next life will be interesting.

This stamp reminds me of the cemetery in Frankenmuth, Michigan. It's on the backside of a church with a tall spire that is many decades old. I have done this footrace many a time in July called the Volkslaufe (The People's Race) that runs thru town, over wooden bridges and just as you come back from the farmlands, you cross thru the cemetery and round the church before heading back down a hill into town and over another wooden bridge. It's a grand way to spend the Fourth of July each year, assuming you can outrun the inevitable tornado warnings or flooded Cass River. Stay for the fireworks, too.

Northwoods Door With Sled

I must have bid on this stamp two dozen times. As far as I can tell, it is a new 2008 stamp, so why it's being bid up to $40 or more dollars is beyond me. I never got it. I see in the current Stampin' Up catty, there is a similar stamp. Trouble is, it's the only set I would spring for from this sad catalog. I never saw such a boring bunch of bound pages as this one was. I have ordered the newest catty for later January 2009 delivery-but if it's crap, no more for me.

I would love to have this stamp simply because it would layer so nicely with pop dotted images. And it would settle right in with my house stamps, too. If anyone knows the stamp number or real name, be sure to leave the info in the comments space. I had a major computer foul up and am on a new machine but so many of the "lust" stamps I had photos of are on the back up and I have not had the time to transfer them. Just be sure to come back and see if I have found anything new and interesting once in a while. My blog gets so lonely without peepers.

Northwoods Home Sweet Home

Northwoods is such an incredible stamp company. I have loved their outdoor scenes and have several, almost all trees or landscaping. This week I came across several house on eBay and tried to bid but lost out. On the Northwoods website, you can look back at past supplements but many I have found on eBay are not listed at the site, so I assume they are long retired.

I love house stamps as you can tell from my other lusts. Maybe it's the one thing that has always been a constant in my life-my home. I have lived in mine now for over 30 years and when I am unhappy, I come home and sit on my deck and just feel a whole lot better. I am safe here. My space in the world no matter how bad it gets outside my walls is the place for my heart.

PSX Fireplace

I have a fireplace-in fact it's double sided, meaning you can use it from either side. It breeches between the formal living room (soon to be my library/den) and a family room. One wall is entirely brick with a mantle spanning it. I have not burned anything in it for years now. Wood by the cord is so expensive here in Michigan and I don't have enough trees to cut down. Plus we have to deal with emerald ash borer and other parasites, so you cannot transport cut wood over county lines. So we burn nothing.

Other than the fact this is listed on EBay at 39.99 BIN, and it's a PSX retired gem, I have no idea on the stamp name or number. This is so Little House On The Prairie. Or Cinderella. I have vegetarian chili in one pot, green tea in another and rice simmering for rice/raisin pudding. All I need is some home made biscuits. I like this because it's not seasonal. Could be from any time of the year-a century ago or somewhere stuck in time.

Stampa Rosa Townhouse

Ever had a dream you lived in a place in another life? And have that dream over and over? I have. It was in NYC or one of the boroughs in a place like this. I have red velvet drapes and a dozen cats. I have never been to NYC. Yet I feel like I could describe one of these places down to the cracks in the floor and the trash in the street. I think it's because I view so many films shot there. One of my favorites is Crossing Delancey . Rent it sometime-just a sweet movie without being mushy.

I don't know anything about this particular stamp other than the company name. Not even sure on the title, so I made one up. But I KNOW the wallpaper inside that front door is dark rose pink and mossy green. I just know. Because I have been there! In my dreams.

Stampendous Sunny Bank Cottage 1996

Another in my quest to find all the wonderful stamps of abodes. I imagined this to be located somewhere in Europe-preferably the British Isles. Love the thatched roof. So I wonder what other stamps were in this series as this is 12 years ago this was issued.

This stamp was offered on EBay at 79.99 or best offer. There haven't been any offers that I know of. I keep watching and hoping she will lower the price. Not in my lifetime. I would need a mortgage to buy this single stamp.

Have A Case Of Rubber Lust?

I created this blog because of my growing lists and saved photos of stamps I want so so badly. Some I will never be able to afford (old PSX and some Stampin' Up sets). Many I save the files and forget about them until I see them used in a magazine example. And then whine and moan because they aren't available locally (like Mike's or Jo's has anything to begin with) so I end up searching the Internet. I find them with god-awful shipping rates and back off.

So if I can't buy them, at least I can look in one place at them and lust and drool and hope the stamp fairies will place them under my pillow. I now present you with a photo of my number one must have stamp. Isn't it to die for???
