Stampin' Up Asian Kimono Set

Okay, I can live without this set (no, you can't). I really have too many stamps (no, you don't). I am broke (so what?). I can find some designer paper and make this image of the kimono folded up pretty (you can't even fold towels square). An empty mail box is a good thing (an empty mail box will kill the mailbox by starving it). I'm trying to be good (bwa ha ha). What is that echo I keep hearing saying the opposite of what I mean? (dumb de dumb de dumb).

This is an old set I assume is discontinued. (the more you want it, right?). It's purdy (the more you want it, surely). Resistance is futile (you can't have it-so there!). Dibbity dibbity dibbity.

Old Church And Cemetery

I love old cemeteries. They have stories to tell. Some are better than others and some are boring. You won't find my story in a cemetery, tho. I plan on being cremated and spread over left field at Tiger Stadium. Or shot into space with the grenade launcher my daughter has threatened to purchase just for the occasion. I will either be a home run or go out with a bang-my next life will be interesting.

This stamp reminds me of the cemetery in Frankenmuth, Michigan. It's on the backside of a church with a tall spire that is many decades old. I have done this footrace many a time in July called the Volkslaufe (The People's Race) that runs thru town, over wooden bridges and just as you come back from the farmlands, you cross thru the cemetery and round the church before heading back down a hill into town and over another wooden bridge. It's a grand way to spend the Fourth of July each year, assuming you can outrun the inevitable tornado warnings or flooded Cass River. Stay for the fireworks, too.

Kliban This Is The Life

Boy, when you got 96 Mackerels to spend on a USED stamp, you must be having a pretty decent life.The bidding started at 3.75 and escalated up the ladder pretty quickly. That amount of money would keep my kitties in canned yummo's for many many weeks. I wonder if the bidder gets carried away or if it makes no difference as long as he/she wins? I will leave the craziness for others. There is a good chance I can find lot of other kitty stamps and fill up a flat rate box much cheaper.

Besides, this kittah should be on a diet.

Penny Black Witch

This stamp was bid up to 29.00 dollars on EBay this weekend. I saw it at the last minute and knew it was out of my reach. I like witches. I've been called one on a few occasions. Been called another word, too. Some people have very limited vocabs.

There was no actual name on this nor a year that the seller could discern. I think it's from the late 1990's because the artwork is similar to a few I do have. Perhaps this same artist did them by season as the others are mostly spring or winter. All this is missing is a broom stick and a ramshackle house.

PSX E712 Beautiful Cat

If only my real cats were as elusive as this rubber one. The real ones are just so whiny lately. I can understand Loki being like he is-after all he is pretty sick with cancer. But the other two just bug him and me all the time. The constant swatting and howling-all are "fixed" and none are related. And all get plenty of attention. I wish I were so lucky that someone would actually notice me. Slug boy doesn't.

I don't have a release year for this but I have seen other similar PSX cats, so maybe it was a family of cat stamps for a few years. This certainly looks real, doesn't it? And it does not have to be fed or have clean litter or shots.

Northwoods Door With Sled

I must have bid on this stamp two dozen times. As far as I can tell, it is a new 2008 stamp, so why it's being bid up to $40 or more dollars is beyond me. I never got it. I see in the current Stampin' Up catty, there is a similar stamp. Trouble is, it's the only set I would spring for from this sad catalog. I never saw such a boring bunch of bound pages as this one was. I have ordered the newest catty for later January 2009 delivery-but if it's crap, no more for me.

I would love to have this stamp simply because it would layer so nicely with pop dotted images. And it would settle right in with my house stamps, too. If anyone knows the stamp number or real name, be sure to leave the info in the comments space. I had a major computer foul up and am on a new machine but so many of the "lust" stamps I had photos of are on the back up and I have not had the time to transfer them. Just be sure to come back and see if I have found anything new and interesting once in a while. My blog gets so lonely without peepers.

Kliban Jogging Cat

The day my fat cat starts jogging is the day she also stops eating. Her face is constantly in the dish throwing out what she doesn't like-picking thru the bits and whining when the light brown pieces are gone.5-6 times a day I have to scoop the food back into the dispenser. What makes it to the floor (we keep the dispenser on the kitchen counter end) the dogs scoop up like THEY are starving.

I believe that Rubber Stampede owned the rights to these images at one time. I wonder who does now? Because of the ridiculous prices on eBay for these stamps recently (some over $100) it would be to some one's advantage to buy up the rights and make more as I would want one of each they have.

Darcie's Dragon, Knight and Damsel

I think this wonderful set is still available on the Darcie's site. Darcie used to come to the stamp conventions and I have their Cd's and other items. They also has some of the best make and takes going . Either the expense or the crappily run convention keeps them away now.

So why is the knight shorter than the damsel? She could probably whip his ass and then take on the dragon by herself. Whack a dragon with a thorny rose. I am wondering if this may be the same company that made the previous Scot boy and Girl as the art seems similar in some ways. I will have to dig better on Darcie's when I get some time. Now I need the dragon here the most as I have a "thing" for dragons but they have to be red!

Scottie Boy & Girl

Another set of stamps with no identity. I can't even place the "art" as you often can with certain artists and their style. I wanted these because my gramma was from Scotland and I had an outfit my aunt sent me from Aberdeen when I was about 6 or 7 that had a kilt and jacket in the family tartan. My mom gave it away to a little girl across the street but I sure wish I had it today to pass on. It was wool and itchy as all get-out tho.

All that wondering over whether you wear panties under a kilt? I have no clue on the guys-my brothers would not have been caught dead in a kilt (I almost had my son convinced to wear one at his wedding but they went this route instead, which is just gorgeous too. Some of the relatives thought they were bonkers-and the chariot was a golf cart.) But I did wear panties and tights and socks over the tights sometimes. It was cold when I was in 2nd grade!
