Russian Christmas House

I recently purchased this stamp on EBay and it is beyond gorgeous! Brand new and mint, professionally mounted, there is nothing to identify the company who manufactured it. I am hoping someone will recognize it or the style of the drawing, so I can find out more about it.

It is about 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 in size. The wood mount is curved in for the finger grips that we like on large stamps. The wood appears to be sealed after the image was added to the fresh wood. Like I said, this was not a home mount. It was done in a factory. If you recognize it, please leave a comment with your info. I can't wait to make some cards with it.

Manger/Christmas Play from Art Impressions??

Forgive the bad photos. I am working late in the night to clean off my desk.

I found this set of stamps on eBay and since no one else purchased them, I did. I thought my daughter in law might like them for church related activities or newsletters. But I am curious about the origins of it and if there are any more stamps relating to this set. The seller on eBay had bought them from someone who often volunteered at the Novi stamp shows in Michigan and also had other similar choir stamps. The artist is the same, I believe.

These were unmounted stamps that the original owner mounted on wood, so there is nothing on the wood to say who manufactured these. The eBay seller believes it's Art Impressions but I cannot find anything to say one way or the other and they may be from AI, just retired. If you know anything about the artist, company and if there are more in the set, please leave a note and links if you have any cards done with them. I would love to get the remaining items if possible.

Cat Reading Newspaper

I have been gone a while from this blog. Not an apology but an observation. On to better things.

I always imagined my cats being human. In fact one of my favorite blogs is "written" by a Psycho Kitty . If the cat in my house could talk, she would say some pretty hateful things. I know she hates her food, I know she thinks using the spines of my books are her personal nail groomers, I know she believes the bed is hers, and that I am lucky to have two inches on the left side and I know, she misses her older siblings who died last summer.

The only thing I know about this stamp is that it's from Magenta. If you happen to know anything about it, please leave a comment. Now my big question would be....what paper is she reading? Since Magenta is a Canadian company perhaps it's the Toronto Star or the Montreal Gazette. Assuming those papers are still being published. All the papers are going away.

Hi Top Sneakers

It seems like forever since I posted anything here. Now, I haven't stopped lusting for stamps but a lot of things I want never show up on Ebay or any other place, so I can't lust if I can't see what to lust for. This particular stamp is not in my usual vein. I have lost count of the house stamps I want and it's always nice to have something else break the pace.

This stamp of High Top Sneakers found its way onto my list when I came across a pair of old red Chucks in my closet. Converse All Stars are still as cool today as they were back in the day. This stamp is by Post Modern Design but I have no year or item number. If you find it anywhere, give me a shout out, or a sisboombah.
