Graven Images Cut and Fold House

Insanely cool! I found this HUGE stamp on Ebay measuring 6 across by 4 1/2 high.  It is from a company called Graven Images from Chattanooga Tennessee. I have never heard of this company and of course, it is no longer in business.  Just my stupid luck. I want to know if there is a whole town or other items that work with this stamp.  It would be perfect for a House Warming party or whatever fits inside the one and a half inch square base. I have searched Ebay for more but the stamping community is always up on odd stamps and companies.

So stampers of the INKY-verse! Pick thy brains and peruse thee stashes of forgotten stamps. I would love more of this type, even if it's not the same company.  I didn't pay much for this one, as I would guess not a whole lot of stampin' mammies are as weird as me for wanting to collect houses.

Looking For Former Magenta Stamp Artist-Cats

I am trying to remember the artist on this stamp and many with the same character cat getting into mischief. I know she was from Quebec and her name was something like Marylise or close to that spelling. I used to get emails from her when she had new stamps and I know she left Magenta a while ago. I think they retained the rights to the images she drew for them. Does anyone know her name and/or her website? I have many of the stamps with her drawings on them mounted on wood but now I see there is also cling being made. I would love to make contact with her again.

I have always hoped to get all the cat stamps she drew, as they always give me chuckles (I am a cat person!). If you have info, please leave it below, and thanks for stopping by.

Stampa Rosa Hindi/Mendi Stamps

A few weeks ago I came across this stunning stamp on EBay. I decided I would have it no matter the cost. It is so ethnic and I have a huge container of Indian, Middle Eastern and Eastern African stamps (especially women and children) that this would work as a background or edge. I could even use it for Victorian or Garden images. Well, guess what? I was the only bidder!  The stamp is etched with Stampa Rosa I65-13 from 2001. It is no longer being made however, so you will have to scrounge EBay like I did.

Then late this past week, I was doing my duty and scrolling thru my favorite sellers (there are three I always visit) and I found a sister stamp to the above! I don't know the item number but it appears to be  much smaller than the 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 inch square stamp above.

So for now, let us guesstimate it is 1 1/2 by 3 inches. Again, same artist and same color indexing so probably same year 2001. I must have this! If you know the item number or if there are any more stamps similar to this Stampa Rosa antique, please leave a message below.  I can see this done up with glittery embossing powder over a mulberry ink. Tattoos without the pain!

Spring Window

I wish this were my kitchen window right now. If it were, it would be about 70 F and sunny. As I type this, it's about 5F, windy and dark. I don't want to go into how cold it's actually supposed to get later tonight.

This beautiful stamp, which would be perfect for use with Flower Soft, is possibly by Embossing Arts. I don't know if it's the OLD EA or the newer company that seems to be on it's third owner in the last 10 years. I can tell you it's fairly large, probably 5" by 4" or so.  I would love to add this to my "window" collection to go with my  "door" collection which goes with my "house" collection. Slowly I am building the abode of my dreams!

Russian Christmas House

I recently purchased this stamp on EBay and it is beyond gorgeous! Brand new and mint, professionally mounted, there is nothing to identify the company who manufactured it. I am hoping someone will recognize it or the style of the drawing, so I can find out more about it.

It is about 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 in size. The wood mount is curved in for the finger grips that we like on large stamps. The wood appears to be sealed after the image was added to the fresh wood. Like I said, this was not a home mount. It was done in a factory. If you recognize it, please leave a comment with your info. I can't wait to make some cards with it.

Manger/Christmas Play from Art Impressions??

Forgive the bad photos. I am working late in the night to clean off my desk.

I found this set of stamps on eBay and since no one else purchased them, I did. I thought my daughter in law might like them for church related activities or newsletters. But I am curious about the origins of it and if there are any more stamps relating to this set. The seller on eBay had bought them from someone who often volunteered at the Novi stamp shows in Michigan and also had other similar choir stamps. The artist is the same, I believe.

These were unmounted stamps that the original owner mounted on wood, so there is nothing on the wood to say who manufactured these. The eBay seller believes it's Art Impressions but I cannot find anything to say one way or the other and they may be from AI, just retired. If you know anything about the artist, company and if there are more in the set, please leave a note and links if you have any cards done with them. I would love to get the remaining items if possible.

Cat Reading Newspaper

I have been gone a while from this blog. Not an apology but an observation. On to better things.

I always imagined my cats being human. In fact one of my favorite blogs is "written" by a Psycho Kitty . If the cat in my house could talk, she would say some pretty hateful things. I know she hates her food, I know she thinks using the spines of my books are her personal nail groomers, I know she believes the bed is hers, and that I am lucky to have two inches on the left side and I know, she misses her older siblings who died last summer.

The only thing I know about this stamp is that it's from Magenta. If you happen to know anything about it, please leave a comment. Now my big question would be....what paper is she reading? Since Magenta is a Canadian company perhaps it's the Toronto Star or the Montreal Gazette. Assuming those papers are still being published. All the papers are going away.

Hi Top Sneakers

It seems like forever since I posted anything here. Now, I haven't stopped lusting for stamps but a lot of things I want never show up on Ebay or any other place, so I can't lust if I can't see what to lust for. This particular stamp is not in my usual vein. I have lost count of the house stamps I want and it's always nice to have something else break the pace.

This stamp of High Top Sneakers found its way onto my list when I came across a pair of old red Chucks in my closet. Converse All Stars are still as cool today as they were back in the day. This stamp is by Post Modern Design but I have no year or item number. If you find it anywhere, give me a shout out, or a sisboombah.

Man

I have no idea who made this stamp but figured you all would love to have one if we ever find out who issued it.

But the boots HAVE to go!

Milltown Obsessions House

Obsession is right. I have been on a binge looking for house stamps. Maybe it's because I want to move so bad. I hate it here in Michigan and have for a long time. It's too cold and I don't drive much. The closest stamp store is an hour away! What is up with that?? Altho, if I put all my stamps together, we could have a stamp store in theory. I just would not sell any to ya. But I might let ya stamp in my garage (you can sit on the boxes of flooring until I get it laid).

I never heard of this company before so if you have any info, let me know-the stamp is dated 1994. It is definitely out of business per Little Bit. I want more, please and thank you. Isn't this house incredible? I could live on the porch for a start. I miss my gramma's porch from back in the 60's but I do have one that spans the front of my house. It just ain't cool like this. And I don't really want to look at the neighbor's pot belly or hairy butt crack, either. So I stay in the back. And watch the dog tear up what is left of the lawn.

ETA-I found this stamp and paid under 12 bucks for it! It's huge!!! I want to live in it!! No mortgage either.
